Troutclaw is a long-haired, gray tabby tom with a matted head. Troutclaw was a RiverClan elder under Hailstar's leadership in the forest territories. When RiverClan's camp flooded, Troutclaw worried about the safety of a fellow elder named Duskwater, but Duskwater was swept away and died. He also worried about taking back Sunningrocks since RiverClan had recently lost a cat. Troutclaw often complained about his denmates or being surprised at an event.
